19th August 2017.

Hello and welcome to my blog. On Saturday the 12th of August, I was lucky enough and privileged to have my collection of art-to-wear garments featured as the opening scene in the Clyde Sherrife Fashion Show 2017. The collection is part of an ongoing research project in which I’m exploring creole dress and its subversive messages.

The Garments were modelled by members of my immediate and extended family, and I think that they did an excellent job of bringing my vision for the pieces to life on the catwalk. A very big and very grateful thank you to Melanie, Giselle, Gilda, Temi, Ariane, and Ciara.
